Teddy Bears with a history.....

Starting as a young girl I loved to make stuffed toys, it was only when my own grandmother passed leaving a beautiful fox fur coat that the idea of using real fur began. The coat meant so much to me because it reminded me so much of her, but what good was it hanging in a closet? I made 6 bears from that coat and I along with my cousins still have them. Mine sits on my desk and makes me smile every morning.

Since then I've made keepsakes from wedding dresses, jackets from sons, husbands and fathers, baby blankets that once swaddled newborns, even from a favourite fleece sweater a  young girl used to wear every where.

So many memories in just an article of clothing but what better way to keep it?
